A Charity Concert will be held at St. George’s Church Penang (1, Lebuh Farquhar, George Town, 10200) on the 9th of September in support of the Bicentenary Project. This project aims to raise RM 1 Million to give back to the disadvantaged community of Penang through education, feeding of the poor and by providing financial support, medical assistance and emergency relief funds.
The concert will feature the Voices of Penang Philharmonic (VOPP), a choir under the banner of Penang Philharmonic Orchestra. They will be presenting a varied repertoire with songs ranging from sacred to contemporary pieces.
Entry is by a minimum donation of RM 50.00 and admission passes are available from the church office as well as on the day of concert. Event begins at 7 pm, doors open at 6.15 p.m. so come early to get a seat and witness the beauty of choral music all whilst giving back to society.
